Description:
The Network Engineer provides second level support for technical issues, designs and installs network solutions, and supports senior engineers.
Responsibilities include procurement, server design and build-out, network layout, management of sub-contractors, management of junior technicians, consulting and advisory services to the client, and server application installation / support. Technician's work closely with our client’s senior management and monitor contractual obligations, schedules, and budgets.
Required Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is required for consideration. MCSE 2000/2003 certification preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least two years experience providing primary support for server or network level technologies.
Candidate must be proficient with network topology design and build-out. A thorough understanding of Active Directory and DNS is required; along with real-world experience providing centralized management of PC’s using Microsoft technologies such as SMS, WSUS, group policy, and third-party tools. Candidate should possess excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Candidate must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks according to long-range goals, and able to meet deadlines. Successful candidate will display a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. Candidate must be willing to study independently to develop additional skills.
