TriQuest's mission was formed on a mountain peak in the Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado. It was there, in that tranquil setting, that the company's founder, Gary Tonniges Jr., decided to embark on a great quest.
The quest was to build a technology company based on three key tenets; strategy, knowledge, and professionalism. Strategy is the pro-active development of critical systems and recovery plans. Knowledge represents the optimal combination of experience and education. Finally, professionalism is state of mind and approach to daily work.
TriQuest remains true to these founding principles and has many examples of their value and applicability. A recent customer satisfaction poll conducted by Microsoft placed TriQuest in the top 25% of providers in the nation, with a client retention rate that leads the industry. TriQuest’s success was recognized by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year award winner in 2001 and 2002. This was the first and only time, to date, a company won the award two years in a row.
On March 28th of 2000, TriQuest Technologies, Inc. offices, along with many other businesses in the area, were destroyed by a tornado. TriQuest survived in tact without losing any clients. This is both a testament to the loyalty of our clients as well as the strength of our approach. The tornado also had the unintended benefit of validating our crisis planning approach and technology-relocation expertise.
TriQuest's first years in business were consumed with networking computers together. Then there was a period of installing email servers and connecting businesses to the internet. Then came the year 2000, the dotcom craze/crash, and explosive growth of networked devices. The one constant throughout is the need for people who know what they are doing. The dynamic environment that is technology is exciting and rewarding, and we love what we do.
Through the next decade, TriQuest will continue to grow by focusing on strategy, knowledge, and professionalism.
