Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School boosts the learning experience for students and the local community.

Fort Worth, TX – November 24, 2008:  In a time of economic uncertainty, Our Mother Mercy Catholic School received a technological upgrade that provides a stimulating learning environment for students by day and community adults by night.

TriQuest Technologies, Inc. donated $25,000 of services so Our Mother of Mercy could benefit from technology which was otherwise unavailable. Our Mother of Mercy now has a fully functional computer lab and a school-wide network that helps teachers and students become more efficient in the classroom.

“It’s a great benefit to the children, being able to access information through the internet and being able to use the technology, and the community is benefitting as well,” Dr. Carolyn Yusuf, Our Mother of Mercy principal, said. “We offer classes at night to show people how to use the technology and do important things such as build a resume. It’s a benefit not only to the student body but the entire community.”

Gary Tonniges, Jr., TriQuest Technologies president and owner, says he’s been looking for such an opportunity to give back to the Fort Worth area.  “Years ago, I decided I wanted to find a way to get technology into the hands of young students who otherwise may not get much exposure to it in school,” said Tonniges.  “We love what we do. The Technology industry is always changing and provides a rewarding career.  Technology is the cornerstone of the new American economy, and it’s important that these children get exposure at a young age.”

Jason Hamor, MCSE and a Network Administrator for TriQuest, is proud of the effort.

“This was handled just like any other project,” Hamor says. “This was very gratifying, and I think I speak on behalf of all the TriQuest employees in saying that we hope this enhances the learning experience at Our Mother of Mercy School.”

 Bob Kroeger of Advanced Communications led the installation of the network cabling .  Private donors contributed approximately 50 PC desktop computers, a server, software and other equipment.

TriQuest Technologies is a Fort Worth based Microsoft Gold Certified Partner offering network management services to companies with 25 to 500 computers.
