Security Assessment

TriQuest will evaluate your existing security systems, and provide recommendations for increasing the reliability and effectiveness of those systems.  Security systems include such things as: employee policies, firewall, software configuration and physical control of assets.

The most effective network security uses a layered approach to securing vital corporate data.  Think of a castle, with a large imposing wall and increasingly defensible positions inside; as the intruder nears the king (or in this case your most confidential data).

Growing in frequency, security attacks cause significant amounts of service disruption and loss of confidential data.  Adequate protection is achieved by identifying likely threats, and then building appropriate systems to mitigate the risk of a security breech.  Companies who have never experienced a security problem, or, worst yet, are not aware they have had a security breach, assume security is in place.  Unfortunately, this is frequently a false assumption.

Significant improvement is often made without purchasing new hardware or software.  For example, a recent study conducted by the FBI found that the two most likely sources of attack were internal employees and viruses.  Is there internal security, prohibiting users from accessing another department’s information?  If virus scanners are installed, are they frequently updated?
